Materials:

  • Folded card
  • Extra piece of card, width of folded card and cut 4 cm or 1 ¾ “ in depth
  • Piece of narrow ribbon about 16 inches long
  • Narrow double sided tape
  • Foam mounted tape

Equipment:

  • Cutting mat and craft knife
  • Ruler
  • Pencil
  • Scissors
  • Stamp of choice [needs to be large enough to place foam tape to stick to top image]
  • Cleaners etc

Step 1

Fold card in half.

This was one I had already started to use, however you could pre-decorate the whole card if desired.

Step 2

As the top was embossed I didn’t bother with doing the same for the bottom one, as it won’t show.

Step 3

Measure and cut a strip of contrasting card the same length as the folded card
[I’m not untidy, I like torn edges! ]

Mark 1cm in from the edges and 1cm wide and carefully cut the two lines
This makes the bar/strip the stamped image slides along

Step 4

This is facing the front

Step 5

Decide where the image will sit on the bar and be sure to keep the double sided tape clear of the 2 sides, or it won’t move easily

Step 6

Peel off tape backing and lay the ribbon along it

Step 7

Line up the two images and press on to the foam tape on the bottom piece

Step 8

Run 2 lengths of double sided tape along the edges

Step 9

Position the layer where it looks best and adhere to the card, making sure the ribbon is free from the sticky backing, otherwise it will not pull!
Decorate rest of card if desired and start pulling!
