How long have you been stamping?
About 10 years

What is your favorite technique?
Smudging, which I just demonstrated for Tsukineko at CHA

Favorite stamp company?
Stampington & Co, Hero Arts, Magenta, Above the Mark, Penny Black, Rubber Stamp Tapestry, Just For Fun … too many to list :)

Favorite Asian stamps?
Stamp Art Out

Favorite stamping accessory?
Daubers of any kind, Sponges and Brushes

Favorite colors?
Greens

Your favorite embellishment to finish a card?
Leafing Pen, Fibers

What is the one tool you couldn't live without?
A rag

Any helpful tips for the group?
Custom Colored Ink - you can mix refills in a same brand to make your own custom color. Also, you can use pigment ink refills like paints. Squeeze out a little ink to your palette, pick up the ink with a dauber so that you can ink up your stamp or spread it on white paper to make a background.

As a member of OSA, why do you like stamping in the Oriental theme?
Must be the DNA in me. LOL

Is there any one place or city you'd like to visit to find rubber stamps, supplies, or Asian art elements?
Gardena, CA

What other stamping lists or local clubs do you belong to?
Stamptalk, Midwest Stamper, Stampin' Up, and local stamping group for 10 years. I also run a Japanese (language) stamping and card exchange group.

What favorite Stamping magazines would you recommend?
Vamp Stamp News is my favorite, but I think I read all stamping magazines in the USA. I learn something new from every issue.

Published in any magazines? If yes, please list.
Scrap & Stamp Art, Stampers' Sampler, Take Ten, Somerset Studio, Just A Card. Also I am to be published serially in a Japanese magazine.

Any other hobbies, talents or craft interests?
All kinds of paper arts, sewing, gardening.

What inspires you to be creative?
Curiosity.

Any art background ?
Self taught.

Have you used any unusual item in your stamping that wasn't necessarily meant for stamping?
Rubbing Alcohol, Sanding Block, Scoring Pad, Shell Case for little rod stamps.

Do you have a day job when you're not stamping?
I'm running a rubberstamp website/shop in Japanese language.

Tell us about your family and where you live.
I live Carlsbad, CA, with my DH Kaz, my 15 year-old son and 7 year-old daughter. We have 1 mom & 6 baby hamsters.

Faux Soot Stamping

1. On glossy paper, stamp image with Versamark, then clear emboss.
2. Sponge Brilliance Sterlite Black over image (new color--will be on market around the end of March/early April).
3. Wipe excess ink off the embossing.
4. Adhere to large panel. I used washi paper.
