Slide Mailers:

Janis G.:

I painted the slide mailer w/ Lumiere paints, stamped the images with VersaFine black ink, punched the hole in both sides w/ an 1/8" hole punch (yes, it goes right through one thickness of the chipboard slide mailer rather easily - it was a bit more to punch it through the double thickness on the side where the slide fits. You can stamp your slide (I used acrylic ones I ordered from Science Kit - they are cheaper, lighter, and not so dangerous to your hands if they break), and color in the back or you can just find some image you really like and cut it down to size to fit in the space. I did the latter and attached the slide to the picture by applying glass matte medium by Peobo - Golden's gel medium will work as well. I also outlined the slide frame (shrine, if you will) with one of the Krylon pens just to get it to snap.

One trick is to find stamps that flow together for the outside front and back covers so when it stands open it looks good from the back.
